I'm Catarina Vieira, and at 28 I am one of the youngest Members of the European Parliament (MEP). I consider myself to be an European at heart: born in the Azores islands of Portugal, I studied in the Czech Republic and live, since 2017, in The Netherlands.
As a member of GroenLinks-PvdA, I was elected to the European Parliament in June 2024. There, I joined the Greens-EFA group. My work in the Parliament focuses on international trade and human rights.
Before entering politics, I was a policy advisor for civil society organizations like the Rainforest Alliance and Solidaridad. These experiences solidified my commitment to a sustainable and equitable future for all.
You can find more information about my work on my page of the European Parliament website.
